I’m fundraising for JDRF to defeat T1D!
Our connection with Juvenile Diabetes is strong. Steve’s sister was diagnosed with diabetes in 1978 when she was 8 years old and died recently as a result of complications from juvenile diabetes which included but was not limited to kidney failure, blindness and general ill health. In the space of one year, two of our friends 13 year old boys were diagnosed with juvenile diabetes. The boys have both dealt with their diagnoses well and of course, their medical treatment is wonderful. However, juvenile diabetes is for life and their lives and their families lives have been changed forever.
