23 January 2021 - Sugars Beach SUP, Coorong (with my Daughters). SUP’ed straight to a great lunch at the Coorong Cafe.
6.1 km floating around with the girls, over to the Murray Mouth and then lunch at the Coorong Cafe, then a splash around on Sugars Beach. Amelia and Matilda must have loved it, we were out there for four hours.21 January 2021 - SUP Kingston Park/Seacliff//Brighton (with Sister Jo)
With Sister Jo SUP’ed 5.18km in local waters.15 January 2021 - Encounter Lakes SUP (with Sister Jo)
Windy today so headed inland to Encounter Lakes, a man-made saltwater lake near Victor Harbor.14 January 2021 - Horseshoe Bay SUP #2, Port Elliot
5km in Horseshoe Bay, and challenged to draw a Strava picture, so drew a DUCK.13 January 2021 - Sugars Beach SUP, Coorong (with Sister Jo)
A hat trick of 5kms completed today. Beautiful paddling conditions with my sister Jo this morning at the Coorong.12 January 2021 - Back to River SUP (with Sister Jo)
With my sister Jo, we completed a 4.68 km stretch of the Murray River. Into a challenging head wind on the way there and then a lot easier on the way back.11 January 2021 - Horseshoe Bay SUP #1, Port Elliot
Kids in the sea for VacSwim, so it was time to hit the SUP. Half the Bay was sheltered comfortable conditions, the other half blown by a strong northerly. Some big paddling, deep knee squats, and full strokes to stay on course, and stay within the Bay.1 January 2021 - SUP on New Years Day at The Coorong
Seeing the Murray Mouth in the distance so kept on paddling. Surrounded by lots of Black Swans and Pelicans. Strava distance said 15.55km, average speed 5.8km/h. Duration 3 hours 3 minutes.Starts Tomorrow
Happy New Year. The Aqua 25km Challenge starts tomorrow on January 1st. Heading to the Coorong part of the River (up the road from the Goolwa Regatta Yacht Club past the Lock, Barrage Rd, Goolwa South) early tomorrow for some SUP’ing. I’ll be Strava-ing it, it’ll be interesting to see how far I get, maybe/hopefully 4km 🤔 - interesting to see how far I get. I’ll report back.
I'm fundraising for JDRF
I do not have a direct connection with Type 1 Diabetes however over the years I have become aware of many families impacted. Some have been through School, some through work. This looks to be a fantastic fundraising activity to support JDRF while challenging myself to SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) 25km spending some extra time in January on the water and at the beach.Thank you to my Sponsors
