JDRF Blue Army Jump FY24

The day of yoyo sugars

Today is one of those days. You go to bed and your sugars are 17. You give a corrective dose, wake up and you’re 2.9, have some sugar. . . Perhaps to much, go back to sleep then wake up and your 26.

These days are draining. Picture a bad hangover. You’re tired, muscles sore, mouth constantly dry, thought of water makes you nauseous yet you know you need it. Add in your tolerance for everything is an all time low. But, because it’s something you live with you don’t get to take the time to feel better, in fact you feel guilty you ended up in this position yet again.

Life with diabetes isn’t the same day in and day out. You know, like people without diabetes. . . . Stuff happens and you gotta deal with it

I'm jumping for a great cause!

I'm jumping out of a plane to support JDRF in their mission to find a cure for t1d.

Type 1 diabetes can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy. JDRF is the largest funder of type 1 diabetes research in the world with a vision to create a world without type 1 diabetes.

DONATE NOW to help change the lives of more than 130,000 Australians living with T1D. Thank you!
