CMS CROWS FOOTBALL AND NETBALL CLUB SUPPORT JDRF!
The CMS CROWS Football and Netball Clubs are coming together during the Carnival to support JDRF to defeat T1D!
The Clubs are a Go Blue event and asking for your support to help raise funds for research to cure, prevent and better treat type 1 diabetes.
During the carnival on 25 August 2024, volunteers will be asking for donations at the gate and throughout the day.
Type 1 diabetes can strike anyone at any time, and 7 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.
Our goal is to raise over $8500 -
This reflects the cost of 1 insulin pump that supports someone with type 1. Insulin pumps remove the need to give multiple injections daily anywhere from 3 to 10 daily. It is a wearable device (smaller than a smart phone) which continuously delivers rapid acting insulin through a cannula that is inserted under the skin, changed every 3 days.
