I'm walking in Alice Springs to turn type one into type none!
We will be walking on Saturday 21 September with nearly 200 of our friends and family members to help find a cure for Type One Diabetes. Pippa was diagnosed in January 2023 at the age of 8 with this uncurable, unpreventable disease. No amount of exercise or healthy eating could prevent or cure her.
Last year, Pippa raised over $5,000 to help find a cure. Let's see if we can match that amount again.
Pippa will be supported on her walk by her schoolmates, swim team, volleyball team, town friends and even her grandparents who are in town.
Type 1 diabetes can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.
