World Diabetes Day 2024

14/11/2024 is World Diabetes Day. This year we are campaigning for $50 million of funding for the Type 1 Diabetes Clinical Research Network. So we can help find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes!!! Please either share to raise awareness for diabetes or donate any amount you can to help supp6our goal of Curing T1D!!!

As a Researcher in T1D, I have a unique perspective on research in type 1 diabetes and seeing how far these funds could go towards research.

Current research in type 1 diabetes is exciting and diverse focusing on early detection, prevention, innovative treatments and of course a CURE!!

I'm personally doing research in type 1 diabetes and islet cell transplantation. Others are looking at genetics and immunology. Even more are looking into stem cell therapy and beta cell preservation. Some are also looking at developing an artificial pancreas and automated insulin delivery systems.

This research among many others are all very important and costs a lot of money to develop. So please donate as much as you can to help us find a CURE FOR T1D!!!

Thank you to my donors!

I appreciate each and every one of you for donating. Less than a day and we are already 60% of the way to my $1000 goal. Thank you all xx

I’m fundraising for JDRF to defeat T1D!

It's my 21st Diaversary! On the 26/01/2003, aged 9, I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. That day completely changed the trajectory of my life. While diagnosis was hard to deal with at times, it created a purpose in my life and I 100lieve that I am a better person now for having type 1 diabetes.

I’m fundraising for JDRF to defeat T1D! So no one else has to go through this. I’m asking for your support to help raise funds for research to cure, prevent and better treat type 1 diabetes.

As a T1D researcher, I'm in a unique position to know just how underfunded research in type 1 is and how far these funds could go towards research.

JDRF has done a lot for me and people like me, they subsidised my first ever insulin pump when I was 17, this life saving technology made my life so much easier and helped me bring much tighter control to my sugars and thereby allowing me to live a near-normal life, this was all possible via donations to JDRF.

Type 1 diabetes can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.

DONATE NOW to help the #JDRFBlueArmy and change the lives of Australians living with T1D. Thank you.
