5 Tips to Fundraise in the Workplace

01 Feb 2023

Looking to get involved in a fundraising challenge this year to support a great cause? The workplace can be a great place to ask for support and get people to cheer you on.

We have five tips to help you fundraise in the workplace, plus an exciting challenge you can jump into in 2023!

1) Spread the word to your seniors

Your managers and senior leaders are usually the most well-connected and influential in the organisation. Ask if they can help you spread the word or if they have ideas on how the organisation can best support your challenge.

2) Get chatty about your challenge

Do your bit and spread the word to as many people as you can in your workplace! A few ways you can do this include:

  • Bring up your fundraiser in your next team meeting
  • Chat to your colleagues about it on your lunch break
  • Send a company wide email

3) Let your email signature do the talking

Spread the word about your challenge using an email signature with a link to your fundraising page.

4) Hang up posters around your workplace

Hang up a poster about your challenge in the breakroom or a place where people frequently gather, and include a QR code to your fundraising page.

5) Invite others to jump on board

Know others in your organisation who would love to get involved too? Ask them if they’d like to join you as part of a team. Getting other colleagues involved in your fundraiser is a great way to boost morale in the company.

Want to fundraise for a good cause? Here’s an idea…

JDRF Australia is offering an exciting opportunity to partake in a tandem skydive to support life-changing type 1 diabetes (T1D) research!

T1D is a life-long condition which currently affects over 130,000+ Aussies, with a further 8 people diagnosed everyday. People living with T1D are unable to produce their own insulin (which is what controls your blood sugar), and require administering insulin through multiple daily injections or an insulin pump.

By joining the JUMP Challenge, you’ll get to experience an exciting tandem skydive – all while raising money to support research aimed at finding cures and improving lives.

You can join solo or make a team with your colleagues. It’s a fun way to get your company involved in a meaningful cause.

Lucky for you, we also have some great resources you can use to kickstart your fundraising in the workplace! Check out these links below:
