I’m fundraising for JDRF to defeat T1D!
My son Digby was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at 2 1/2 years of age and has navigated his journey like a champ!! He is now a happy, healthy and super active 9 year old who doesn’t let the constant 24/7 juggle of T1D get in his way!! Whether it’s on the footy field, racing up and down the pool, or on the touch field he gives everything 100%. My goal is to help raise funds for research to cure, prevent and better treat type 1 diabetes. To have a world where these kids can play a game of footy without meticulous planning and balancing blood sugar throughout or hang out with mates without constant checks and nagging from mum or simply have a piece of cake at a birthday without thinking twice 🥰
As such, on May 25th 2024 I’ll be stepping out of my comfort zone and running a HALF MARATHON to raise much needed funds and asking Im for your support!!
Type 1 diabetes can strike anyone at any time, and 7 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.
