I’m fundraising for JDRF to defeat T1D!
On August 17th we came very close to suddenly losing our Little girl Quinn. Quinny is 7years old and the light of many lives, always being cheeky & mischievous, loving all things dance, makeup and born a little SassQueen!
She suddenly fell very ill with what is called DKA also know as Diabetic Ketoacidosis - which if not treated soon enough is life threatening.
Quinny was unexpectedly diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes - we are so lucky to have an amazing local Diabetic health team to help our family transition to our new normal.
Coincidentally, another little boy was diagnosed several week before Quinn called Archie who also attends the same school and is only 5 years of age.
We have since met a handful of beautiful local families who have T1D children who have the same daily challenges and we want to put together an amazing community event to help 'defeat diabetes' whether we can assist in finding a cure or helping develop new technology to make the process of living with it easier.
Help Turn Wagga Blue!
Examples of how you can help:
* If you’re a coffee business perhaps a contribution of $1 from each coffee you sell.
* A bakery that can sell blue cupcakes
* A work place can gather your team & wear blue with a gold coin donation.
We would love to see Wagga be as creative as they can be!
